The Precice system is an intramedullary device to help patients with limb length discrepancy. It is an innovative and market leading solution, based on the magnetic tecnology of NSO, which allows distraction until 80 cm. The nail presents an inner magnet that is connected to a threaded screw with no end through a series of gear. Once the nail is implanted, it can be lengthened thanks to the interaction between the inner magnet and an external device, i.e. External Remote Controller (ERC). The ERC is a programmable instrument, which acts on the internal magnet allowing lengthening/shortening of the nail. ERC programming enables the surgeon to customize the lengthening treatment, guaranteeing a controlled distraction phase. The patient is able to perform lengthening at home, in a non-invasive and independent way.
Precice is realized in Titanium and it is available with 3 different diameters (8.5, 10.7 e 12.5 mm) and different lengths; therefore, it results suitable for patients with small medullary canal. The nails are available for femur (antegrade/retrograde), tibia and humerus.

The BioBall is a very advanced system consisting of joint heads and adapter components, which has become the “gold standard” in the hip endoprosthetic revision surgery. It allows intra-operative adjustment of offset, neck length, lateralisation and antetorsion/retrotorsion with in situ stems to improve gait. The same corrections can be carried out during primary surgeries as well. The modular adapter system consists of standard and offset components, which can be combined with metal or ceramic joint head.
The adapters are available for prosthesis stem with standard tapers 12/14 and 14/16. Standard neck length corrections from -3.0mm to +21mm can be carried out with the standard adapters, while offset ones allow for a medialization or lateralization as well as a correction of retrotorsion/antetorsion, until a maximum angle of 7,5° with respect to the neck axis. Therefore, the surgeon can choose the combination of head and adapter which results most suitable for the patient.

Hofer Medical is an Austrian company with offices in Germany, Italy and Poland, which develops and manufactures osteosynthesis implants for traumatology. Hofer plates are realized in Titanium and have an anatomical shape: their holes can accept both cortical and angular stability screws. Screws are realized in grade 5 Titanium: they present a high poliaxiality degree (until 70°) and a hemispherical head. Screws have a great penetration capacity and a high breakage resistance. Design and configuration of the screws allow their insertion without head protrusion, avoiding consequent damages to soft tissues.
